About Academy of Arts and Knowledge
AAK is a K-5 public elementary school of choice in Fort Collins, Colorado that focuses on engaging students through art, music, dance and drama. In addition to our core elementary school program, we offer free, year-round care for our students from 7:00am-5:30pm at our AAK Community Learning Center.
Mission: Within a supportive school community, The Academy of Arts & Knowledge offers a robust arts program that complements core academics, fosters critical thinking skills, and creates confident, creative individuals with the freedom to reach their full potential.

AAK is open to all learners residing in the State of Colorado. Enrollment decisions shall be made in a nondiscriminatory manner without regard to disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, ancestry, need for special education services, or any other protected class.
AAK learners engage in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies based on Colorado Academic Standards. We set ourselves above the rest by integrating fine arts into our curriculum to engage and enhance learning. Our teachers provide a safe learning community that encourages each learner to take healthy risks and treat each student as a unique individual, fostering opportunities for their creativity to flourish.
In addition to arts-integrated core curriculum in each classroom, our learners engage in 60 minutes (daily) of music, art, Expressions, and physical well-being for a truly robust arts education.
Community Learning Center
The Community Learning Center at AAK is open daily from 7:00AM until 5:30PM. CLC offers before, after, and school break programming at no cost to our families. Find out more here!
